Gypsum board production line is a series of machines and equipment used to manufacture gypsum board, which is also known as drywall or plasterboard. 


Here is an overview of the key components and the process involved in a typical gypsum board production line:


1. Gypsum Ore Source: The production process starts with the mining of gypsum ore, which is a mineral composed of calcium sulfate dihydrate. This raw material is typically found in underground or open-pit mines.


2. Gypsum Rock Crushing: The mined gypsum ore is first crushed into smaller pieces to facilitate the milling process.


3. Gypsum Grinding: The crushed gypsum is then ground into a fine powder in a milling machine. This powdered gypsum is called stucco or land plaster.


4. Calcining: The stucco is heated to remove a portion of its water content, creating a hemi-hydrate form of gypsum called calcined gypsum or stucco. This is done in a rotary kiln or fluidized bed calciner.


5. Mixer and Forming: The calcined gypsum is mixed with water and other additives to form a slurry. This slurry is then poured onto a continuous moving belt or paper liner and flattened using a forming machine, creating a uniform gypsum core.


6. Paper Facing: Two layers of paper liners are fed onto the top and bottom of the gypsum core, encapsulating it. These paper liners can be treated for fire resistance or other special properties.


7. Setting and Drying: The gypsum board passes through a setting and drying area where the plaster sets, and excess water is removed. This process can be accelerated using dryers, and sometimes additional additives are used to control setting time.


8. Cutting and Edge Trimming: After the gypsum board has set and dried, it is cut into the desired size and shape using cutting equipment. Edge trimming machines ensure the board's edges are straight and clean.


9. Quality Control: Various quality control measures are applied to ensure the gypsum boards meet required standards. This may include thickness checks, surface quality assessments, and other tests.


10. Packaging and Distribution: The finished gypsum boards are packaged, typically in stacks, and prepared for distribution to construction sites, wholesalers, or retailers.
